Facility management
Outsourcing of facility management activities emerged in the past few years in both the private and the public sector.
Facility Management services are primarily included in agreements related to office blocks (which may belong to governmental institutions), shopping centers and hotels; their contents can be flexibly adapted to the needs of the contracting partner. These contracts may cover a few core activities, such as heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, building maintenance and upkeep, and conservation, further, may also include services such as building management, security and guarding, telephone system supervision, customer reception, cleaning, gardening, and external-internal transport. A key component, the advantage of this solution is that the customer has one single partner for the fulfillment of the non-core tasks specified by it. Dalkia Energia, as a general contractor with sole responsibility, carries out its tasks against the contractual lump-sum or occasional fee, and involves subcontractors as needed.
