Healthcare institutions
Until 2009, Dalkia Energia has signed contracts for the operation of 60 healthcare institutions, involving total investments of HUF 1 billion. It was with the Gróf Esterházy Hospital of Pápa that the first 10-year contract was signed in 1993; where the upgrading and efficient operation resulted in saving as much as 20–25% of energy.
Under one of these contracts, we installed the first trigeneration plant (combined energy production system completed with an adsorption refrigerator) at Markosovszky Hospital; this was the first trigeneration plant ever put into operation in the health sector.
Other important customers include Szent György Hospital in Székesfehérvár and Kanizsai Dorottya Hospital in Nagykanizsa where we carry out combined heat and electricity production. At Kanizsai Dorottya Hospital we have introduced island-type electricity production, for the first time in the health sector; it covers 60% of the electricity needs of the institution.
Other major customers include Markoth Ferenc Hospital in Eger, and the hospitals of Cegléd, Gyula and Kalocsa towns.
Gottsegen György National Cardiology Institute of Budapest, the health center in Akác utca of the Pécs University and Erzsébet Hospital in Sátoraljaújhely became our customers in 2007. |
